Madden NFL 2006

EA Sports

EA Sports made the right choice by building the new Madden from ground up for the X360. This game is down right ire how close to life it looks. Admittedly I didn't expect the graphics to be this outstanding from a sports title compared to other fantasy based games, but it looks amazing. From the characters to the arenas and weather effects this is the real deal. Like I mentioned at the show, I get the same feeling as when I first saw the Dreamcast running its football game. This is going push Madden to even more homes, kudos to the development team. It's Madden and it's even just gets better and better.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006

EA Sports

Tiger Woods 2006 is almost as equally impressive as Madden, but because it's golf it doesn't have the same impact. Not to take anything away from Tiger Woods because the level of detail is outstanding right down to each blade of grass. And believe me you can zoom right down and pick out each blade. Besides the game looking great they have added some new courses, updated the pros and even tweaked the Tigerman himself from first hand input. If you are a golf fan you won't want to pass up this one.

Saint's Row

THQ / Volition

Saints Row hasn't been in the spotlight as much as these other games, but even from it's early build we seen it's going to give gamers some unique gameplay elements in a familiar free roam, grand theft auto inspired gameplay. Saints Row surprising amount of customization really surprised me and the character creation cosmetically is insanely deep. To keep it different from the obvious they have big empathize gang warfare and gaining respect within your group, along with all the normal treats like stealing and moding cars, blowing up the feds and running around like the average homicidal maniac.

The main kicker about Saint's Row is that it's going to be online! They are developing some impressive modes to make it stand out from the normal online modes like death match and capture the flag. One mode that was described seemed extremely innovative and fun which involved gangs gathering money to make the most pimped out ride in the city. The trick is that you have to get money, build the car and keep other gangs from trashing your time invested ride. We will have more on Saints Row as it nears it launch in 2006, this is one you should keeps your eyes on.

The Outfit

THQ / Relic Entertainment

THQ had another surprise build at X05 and this was of the action based WWII shooter The Outfit. The Outfit has gone the other way from realism and is building an over the top shooter that lets you blow up everything! I mean you can take down everything from houses to buildings in the far off distance. They boasted almost anything you can see can be destroyed. The game has based around three main Hollywood voiced characters who each have a special ability and advantage to playing the game. Besides the different main characters The Outfit gives the uncanny ability to call up troops, heavy cannons, air strikes, and tanks on the fly, plus more!. By using action points which are rewarded in the game you can tackle any situation in a number of ways. Need a tank, call one up. Need more troop reinforcements, click and done. Think the matrix, it's that easy.

The Outfit will span over twelve levels and will have active online support for at least one year after it's released. THQ seems to be really focusing on the live aspect of the 360 and plans to support their new releases with a slew of upgrades and downloadable content which is great. The Outfit could be the perfect game online for those violence freaks that just can't get enough out of something like Battlefield 2. So far the build looks great even it had some frame rate issues. I'm sure it will all be copasetic on its release and like Saint's Row; THQ will be a hot developer to watch.

Full Auto

Sega / Psudeo

If you have been following the X360 since its debut at E3 then you know about Full Auto, the arcade racer with machine guns mounted on your hood. It's running smooth like a baby and I was happy to finally play the game that has been hyped up to be one of the best games for the launch. Full Auto is fun, and will be the prefect game to show off to your friends. It's defiantly a game you can go wrong with picking up on launch, it's sure to provide some trilling rides, I just wonder about its lasting appeal.
