Introduction:Well, here we are back again after an absence to clear up some real life things! So here we go with a review of Ubi Soft’s Murakumo. When I first did a preview this game I had my doubts about it. Man! Was I right! How can anyone actually publish this game? It is like some sort of “gameacide”! A completely horrible experience!

The Game:Murakumo is another step into the Mech game genre where you are basically cashing down enemies to try and shoot them down. I’m just not sure what they were thinking when they decided to make this game. Like, “Yea, that would be fun… Just chasing other mech’s down who run a standard path through a cityscape.” I mean really! What year is this? If you happen to loose the opponent Mech while you are flying around for too long the game ends. It just doesn’t work out very well.

So anyways, you have five different Mech’s to choose from. All of which have different strength’s and weaknesses. But, neither of them seem to make all that much of a difference. They are a different mix of the same kind of thing. No matter what the weapons are half useless. Some guns are even practically impossible to use properly. But, even with the best weapons it would not save this game. The Mech’s are very unresponsive and don’t really fly too well. You have a very limited range of movements though, so it doesn’t make too much difference anyways.

Graphics & Sound:For graphics and sound this game wasn’t very great. There is something wrong when the opening movie is the most exciting part of the game. I give it thumbs up for the opening movie. Beyond that, the game just didn’t impress me with graphics or sound. The city looks okay, but it just isn’t a great backdrop for a game of this type. It’s definitely a throw back to the games of the 80’s. And not the good games from those days either.

The sound is very much like sound in any really bad Mech game. It was nothing to write home about. Just some cheesy game tracks and limited sound effects for the weapons and so on. Maybe though, it might just have been the best part of the game!? I’m not sure what to say (Can you believe I am speechless about this game?!?!).

Mojo:Heh, no mojo for this puppy at all!!!! I would be hard pressed to find some mojo inside of this game!

Lowdown:I think by now you must know what I think about this game. It is definitely a waste of disk space to even play this game once! Talk about a waste of processor time! I hate to talk bad about an UBI Soft game they are usually pretty good. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!?!?!? I would never want anyone to waste his or her time with this game! Murakumo is coaster material.
