Introduction:Take the role of intrepid fighter pilot Jack Archer, who must put his skills to the test in the ultimate battle against the forces of the alien Zentraedi. Sit at the controls of a Veritech fighter, a unique mecha capable of ground-based fighting in robot form. Or have the option to instantaneously change into a fast attack fighter for aerial dog fighting plus the hybrid Guardian mode that blends some of the strengths and weaknesses of the other two modes. The fast-paced gameplay and freedom of movement, combined with the well known space opera, makes Robotech: BattleCry impossible to put down!

Lowdown:I have been a fan of Robotech ever since little Downtown was a small Jimmy. I actually knew a bit about the Robotech universe before i played this game. Having that in mind i couldn't wait to see this adaptation of the old animated series. When you compare screens of the game and screens of the animated series there is hardly a difference, and if there was it would be that the game looks better than the old 80's TV series. As a Robotech fan i believe this game translated perfectly. Its a great addition to everything that is Robotech. The storyline runs right along the series, but not as Rick Hunter, but as another brave Veritech pilot ready to take on the Zentradi armada.

The cell shaded graphics are beautiful and like JSRF it feets the feel perfect. Some of the mission are respective, but then other than that the game is excellent. Like all specialty titles it isn't for everyone. If you're not a Robotech this game might just seem like some silly Mecha game. If i wasn't a fan i don't think i would like this game as much as i did. Its not bad game but "rent it first". I hope another game is made to follow the series again. They have a great chance give this series life once again!
