Introduction:Get out the nacho’s or pretzels and get ready for some intense NFL action! Before I start this review let me qualify on what grounds I am reviewing this: I know NOTHING about football, or football games! So, that being said. Let me take you through my impressions of the game.

The Game:For a guy who doesn’t like football at all I surprisingly took to this game pretty much right away. I found it a great experience to play. It doesn’t take long before you are planning out plays, competing with all the big boys of coaching on the field and shouting at all your players for not performing to your expectations. The action is intense, as intense as football gets anyways! You get a nice break between plays.

The gameplay is great, although I have nothing to compare it to. I was surprisingly drawn to the ease at which you can control the players and plays in the game. The action is enough to keep you on your seat and wanting more! There are so many plays that you can use in the game. You can make your own teams, even create your own players and put yourself in the game.

As far as innovation goes I think just in the way the game is intuitive of your needs it does a great job. It always gives you a plan of recommended plays to perform in case you are football handicapped like myself. The game’s AI performs well and helps you along in making the game good for new players. Not having played any other football games, I really can’t offer you up much more information then that.

Graphics & Sound:As far as graphics this game is amazing. The stadiums, players, and fields look intense! I almost thought I was watching football on TV. The only difference is that this is much more exciting! There are even reflections of the stadium in the player’s helmets! How much more detail could you ever want?

The sound of the stadium seems to come alive in surround sound! It’s a good combination of announcing, sound effects, stadium effects, and music. It adds that extra realism to the game that helps to make it fun!

Lowdown:My final word on this game: if you like football or sports games in general. This is a great game! I had a lot of fun playing and trying it out. I will definitely be checking out more football games in the future because of this! So pick it up! And with the reduced price that you can get if for these days it’s a great bargain for a good game!
