Introduction:Legends of Wrestling II takes you through the ultimate wrestling hall of fame with the greatest collection of icons ever assembled, more wrestlers, more match types and better gameplay than the competition. With over 65 wrestlers, Legends of Wrestling II takes wrestling video gaming to all new heights.
Lowdown:LOWII is a great wrestling game that makes you sit back and time your moves instead of mashing the buttons as fast as you can. The ISP system is awesome for executing reversals and bringing more of a grappling style to a wrestling game. Now this is a change from all other titles out there. There are plenty of moves and the best thing is that they kept the momentum meter in the game. This meter rates the in ring excitement and gives bonuses for such things as blood, reversals and turnbuckle moves. This is close to the real wrestling world; you can still gain popularity by making a mach exciting even though you don't end the match as the winner.
I remember the old school days when Andre and George the Animal Steel was tearing up the squared circle. The season mode is a huge improvement over the last "legends" game. Featuring the same state-to-state travel to fame and fortune in the world division. This is all managed by the popularity meter, the more popular you get the more title shots you receive. This time around there is a number of sub-plots per state that you can have. They range from throwing a match to hitting on the female promoter. Season Mode adds a great deal of reparability to the game.
Bar far the best aspect of Low 2 is the Roster. Consisting of over 65 wrestlers there's quite the variety to keep you busy. Be sure if you heard of wrestling you will know a few of these legends.
If this game was more polished and had less glitches this would have been an 8 or 9. Stupid mistakes caused this game to be a little lesser than it could have been. The had the time to fix the glitches since they delayed "Legends" 2 months past the original release date. What's up Acclaim?
