Introduction:Dirk is back in this action adventure game, however, he is very tired. That was my impression of the game! Once again Dirk has to go and try to rescue Daphne his love from the evil clutches of Mordroc the wizard and Singe the dragon.

The Game:Dragon's Lair's gameplay is a little weak. You are Dirk and have to do a number of different little actions to try and get to your princess that is waiting to be rescued. Its another third person action/adventure game that tries to bring in some excitement and innovation. However, it just doesn’t do a good job at it. The game itself is built on the nostalgia of the original Dragon’s Lair game from way back in the 80's. The first game to come out and look like a cartoon! But, that isn’t the basis of making good gameplay. This game is a big improvement over that early 80's game. In today’s standards though, this game fails miserably. I was bored after about a half hour of playing.

Graphics & Sound:The graphics in the game are the standard for cartoon like games in being cell shaded. The game doesn’t look bad. But, it doesn’t look all that great either. The graphics serve the purpose for the game. By today’s high standards though they are a little low. It could have had much more detail and interesting background objects to bring us in all that much more.

The sound - well, it was sound. What can you say about a game that just doesn’t stick out in your head at all?

Lowdown:Overall, if I was about 12 or so this would be an amazing game. As it is, it just doesn’t appeal to older gamers. I gave it a medium score because for kids this is a good game. If you are looking for a good present for a young person, check it out! Otherwise, let it slide by!
