Halo Reach - Deliver Hope

|Update:HaloReach| A new Halo: Reach trailer has hit the net, although this time we are treated to a live-action short titled Deliver Hope. The short is a riveting, action-packed production that offers an emotional look at the courage and sacrifice of Noble Team in their defense of the planet Reach from a crushing Covenant invasion.
Deliver Hope is from acclaimed director Noam Murro (“Smart People”), who also directed the “Halo: Reach” “Birth of a Spartan” short and a collection of live-action vignettes housed at RememberReach.com. An extended version of “Deliver Hope” will debut exclusively on YouTube the week of Sept. 6.
Halo:Reach @ FanExpo Toronto Also, for those of you in the GTA, Halo: Reach will be at Toronto’s FanExpo this weekend. This appearance marks the first time gamers in Canada can experience the new Firefight mode in Halo: Reach before the September 14th launch. In addition to getting a sneak peek of the Noble Team Legendary Statue and Halo Reach Console, the first lucky gamers to go through the firefight experience will also receive a code for a Noble 6 Avatar Helmet.
FanExpo runs August 27th – 29th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Halo: Reach experience, plus look at Kinect for Xbox 360, can be found in the Zellers Gaming Area in the North Building.

Drop the Beat, Like a Hero

The full list of 105 speaker-blaring tracks and club-shaking anthems that will be transformed into over 80 unique mixes for DJ Hero 2 reads like a who’s who of music industry giants.
DJ Hero on Facebook With all the songs now revealed, DJ Hero 2 has launched the ”Name That Mix” challenge on the DJ Hero Facebook page, testing fans knowledge of music to discover the game’s tightly held and eagerly anticipated mixes. Every week from now until September 20, fans will be presented with a “mashup of mashups” video from which participants will need to decipher what songs were used to create each mix.

Mafia II Released

|PR:2KGames| Gamers’ wait to enter the world of organized crime is over, as 2K Games announced today that Mafia II, an epic crime-action tale, is now available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 from Microsoft and Windows PC. This pistol-packed period piece transports players to Empire Bay, a fully realized and immersive urban cityscape set in America during the 1940s and 1950s. The action unfolds with white-knuckled car chases, explosive gunplay, compelling characters and an engaging narrative set against a backdrop of meticulously detailed period environments that showcase the difference a decade can make in the evolution of music, fashion, advertising and automobiles. Mafia II will be released on August 26 in Australia and August 27 internationally.
Meet Vito & Joe Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito is a beaten down Italian-American who is trying to escape the life of poverty that consumed his childhood. Vito, along with his lifelong friend, Joe, will descend into the world of organized crime. Looking to escape the life of hardship that his father led, Vito dreams about becoming a “made man,” and together with Joe, will work to prove themselves to the Mafia as they try to make their names on the streets. However, the two quickly realize that life as a wise guy isn’t quite as glamorous as it seems.
Mafia II was developed by 2K Czech and is available now for the PlayStation 3 system, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.

|Update| Electronic Arts and Canadian developer Hothead Games announce that DeathSpank will make another round to Xbox Live and the PSN in Thongs of Virtue. Featuring the trademark humor found in the original, Thongs of Virtue centers on DeathSpank’s journey through a massive war-torn land; explore the North Pole and the high seas to locate six mystical thongs to bring peace and harmony to the universe.

Crackdown 2 DLC

|Update| Microsoft has announced the first add-on content for Ruffian Games' excellent Xbox 360 exclusive Crackdown 2, due out soon. The DLC is called Toy Box, which offers FREE and paid content.
For free--- we get a new Vehicle Tag mode along with a boost to your ability level-- and the Keys to the City. if you have the extra points and are addicted to Crackdown you might want to consider the full out bundle which offers up 10 new achievements, avatar rewards, and more. Crackdown 2: Toy Box DLC
The Free Stuff • Keys to the City: Made notorious in the first Crackdown expansion as the ultimate cheat mode, Keys to the City returns to Crackdown 2 and puts an even bigger set of tools at your disposal, including God Mode, Infinite Ammo, Fly Cam, spawning of weapons, gadgets and more, the ability to freeze the time of day, and pushing all skills to the maximum to become faster, stronger and more lethal. • Level 6 Reward: Fans who reach Level 6 on all Agent skills will be rewarded with the new Thruster Ability. Downloading Toy Box is not required to continue engaging in other multiplayer gameplay modes with those who have downloaded it.
