The competition for this years game of the year was a very close with a number of games worthy of the title Game of Year, but there can only be one. In 2006 we have chosen 2K Games, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as the game to remember.
Almost four years in the making Oblivion surpassed its expectations and delivered a role-playing experience above and beyond gamers expectations. Bethesda Softworks managed to enhance their previous efforts with a much needed combat system along with a graphics boost. Oblivion is a epic event that can be played and replayed several times at your own leisure. Involve yourself in the games intense quest to save the land or just run around and in one of the many guilds, Oblivion has something to offer for every gamer. Until the next chapter in the Elder Scrolls comes out, Oblivion is the ultimate RPG, and our 2006 game of the year.
