Bioshock2

Bioshock 2 (2K Games/2K Marin/Digital Extremes)
Bioshock 2 doesn’t need an introduction as the underwater adventure was one of the hottest releases of 2008. Well, it is almost time to dive back down into Rapture in Bioware’s highly anticipated sequel. Developer 2K Games is preparing gamers for an even bigger experience as you will dawn the helmet of the impactful Big Daddy. The 2K team has had a lot of time to rethink how Bioshock made an impact the first time around, and with the added touch of multiplayer developed by Digital Extremes, Bioshock 2 will likely stand out just like the first adventure into Rapture.

SCConviction

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction (Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal)
In 2002 stealth gaming gained the face of Sam Fisher. Voiced by Michael Ironside, Sam Fisher no-nonsense approach to strategic and action changed how developers approached stealth in modern gaming, and soon after it seemed every single game had to have a stealth aspect. Well, no one doe stealth action like Sam Fisher and the Splinter Cell series, and in 2010, Sam is set to return in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction. However, things don’t look exactly the same. Fisher has changed, as Ubisoft Montreal has gone back to the drawing board to redefine the action stealth genre.

In our early impressions of Splinter Cell: Conviction is simply outstanding with an emphasis on combat and stealth combined with a new dynamic use of imagery overtop of the environments. Prepare to see the stealth game changed again as Splinter Cell: Conviction is set to launch in February 2010.

GodofWar3

God of War 3 (SCEA)
In March Playstation 3 fans will have a date with their favorite God of War, Kratos. Pushed back from 2009, March could not come any sooner, as God of War 3 is being polished up to be a near flawless experience. From what we have seen already, God of War 3 will give us more stunning visuals with the same Kratos abolishing, blood dripping, guts ripping action that expect. This could likely be the best action game we will see in 2010, so mark those calendars, as Kratos jumps back into action, one dismemberment at a time.

Mass Effect 2 is set up deliver more of everything you loved about the first game and then some. The action is faster and more responsive, the customization is deeper, and all the space-drama has been amplified. No fan of science fiction, and gaming should over look Mass Effect 2 as it surely will be another showcase in how far gaming has come to combine story, personal choice, and action.
