Halo 3: O.D.S.T. (Microsoft/Bungie)
In 2009 a new Halo will be released, but before yet all excited about rolling with Master Chief and crew, Halo: ODST (Formerly Recon) doesn't include the one-and-only Master Chief. Introducing a FPS Halo title without Master Chief at the helm is a bit risky for Microsoft number one franchise, but I'm sure Bungie is up to the task. Halo 3: ODST isn't going to be out for a little while as it is scheduled for Q4 2009 release date. Until then I’m sure we will have plenty of new details until the game rolls out on store shelves. Chief, or no Chief, the lone wolf solider, the average man in the war against the Covenant might be the personal touch to make for us forget about the Cortana and the Chief, for now.

Ghostbusters (Atari/Terminal Reality)
Ghostbusters is going to be revived as a videogame from its original movie roots, dating back to 1984. This gaming adaptation is set up to be more than the movies driven by the same talent from the film. Rocking with a whole new plot and use of technology, this will be more than your Commodore 64 Ghostbusters. Even though a Ghostbusters game sounds too good to be true, I am worried about how the game will turn out. The formula seems like an instant win, so why did Activision let this puppy go? Hmmm, I guess we will find out when this retro classic gets released in June.

inFamous (SCE/Sucker Punch Productions)
Sucker Punch Productions jump into the next-generation of gaming will be electrically charged with sci-fi action game inFamous. The trick in inFamous is that you are the everyday-guy who ends up on the wrong side of the law with an extraordinary gift, being able to harness the power of electricity. This focused one-power approach is just what the superhero genre of gaming needs, rather then another super solider formula of being a general jack-of-all-trades. The hero, Cole McGrath might not be Spider-Man, but it seems like a lot of care is going into this property to make sure it comes out perfectly. This PS3 exclusive will surely be electrifying gamers hands when it ships in the holiday season of 2009.

Madworld (SEGA/Platinum Games)
In a strange come about the most violent game of 2009 is looking like its going to be the Wii exclusive Madworld. In Madworld you will take control of a chainsaw wielding mechanic named Jack who is set up to make Bruce Campbell look like a pushover. Much like No More Heroes, Madworld is unique stylized and different from anything else we have seen on the Wii becoming a bloody breath of fresh air. The black and white, Frank Miller-esq look and over-the-top violence will send Mario under his covers. Gamers looking for something more than being Fit, you will want to check out Madworld when it hacks onto the Wii this March.

White Knight Chronicles (SCE/Level-5)
Since Final Fantasy is unlikely to make its initial 2009 release, Playstation fans will have to look toward White Knight Chronicles for their RPG needs. Rumour puts Square taking extra time to port their finish product onto the PS3, however it could be as simple as they didn't want to overshadowed by White Knight developer Level-5. Level-5, the Japanese developer has given us such spectacular hits such as Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, and Jeanne D'Arc. So far what little has been released about White Knight looks very impressive... I mean dragons, massively huge dragons, transforming knights and online play for a start! Yea, this one will be epic. Still missing Final Fantasy? Not so much.
