NHL 11 Demo is Up

|Update:EA Sports | The demo for EA SPORTS NHL 11 demo is now available on Xbox LIVE and the PLAYSTATION Network! Powered by a revolutionary real-time physics engine, the franchise that has won 22 sports game of the year awards over the past three years will showcase two game modes in the demo: Battle for the Cup and the all-new Hockey Ultimate Team. Battle for the Cup In Battle for the Cup, players will experience all the emotion and drama of the third period of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup™ Championship between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Chicago Blackhawks. The mode features an all new faceoff system, new quick dekes and the ability to score amazing goals even while lying on the ice. Hockey Ultimate Team The all-new Hockey Ultimate Team brings Online Dynasty play to the EA SPORTS NHL franchise for the first time ever. In the demo, players will be able to pick up a starter pack of cards to build their Ultimate Hockey Team. Take your new team to the ice and play against either the Canadian Hockey League’s Windsor Spitfires, or the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers. Play and win games in the demo with your Ultimate Team and earn up to two additional packs in the full version of NHL 11, when it is released on September 7, 2010. The demo will also feature an interactive tutorial that will allow those new to the franchise to learn the controls, and allow long-time fans to practice some of the new controls in the game, including Faceoffs.

Red Faction the Downloadable Game

|PR:THQ| The geek debate of Mechs or tanks? will be settled on Mars as THQ announces the development of Red Faction: Battlegrounds, the first downloadable title in the history of space-shooter / sci-fi franchise.
Scheduled to explode onto to Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network in 2011, Red Faction: Battlegrounds is a fast-paced multiplayer-focused vehicular combat game in which fast-attack vehicles, heavy tanks and combat walkers wreak havoc above ground and beneath the surface of Mars. Staying true to the Red Faction universe, players can demolish anything that stands in their way, from military compounds to enemy vehicles, using advance Martian artillery and explosives.
Red Faction: Battlegrounds is being developed by THQ Digital Studios UK and executive produced by Volition. Secondly, Red Faction: Battlegrounds will rewarded the player with unique bonus content that will be playable Red Faction: Armageddon.

|PR:2KGames| 2K Games and Gearbox Software have announced new borderlands DLC Borderlands in Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution. This fists-of-fury-filled fourth add-on pack from the popular franchise will be available this September via Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network and Windows PC for $9.99.
Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution invites single-player and co-op fans back to try to suppress a deadly Claptrap revolution using one of four infamous vault hunters. The foursome find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a deadly civil war between the Hyperion Corporation’s well-armed armadas and the ever-amassing army of homicidal Claptraps led by one of the most eagerly awaited characters in the franchise’s history - the cunning Ninja Assassin. As vault hunters, players must put aside their past differences with the Hyperion Corporation, namely the organization’s repeated attempts to wipe them from existence. For a hefty payday, they will join forces to help beat down the mechanical uprising and thwart the dastardly kung-fu expert, the Claptrap known only as Ninja Assassin.
Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution will provide more than 20 new missions to loot and tons of fresh enemies to blast through, including original boss battles, waves of homicidal Claptraps, well-armed Hyperion soldiers, and local creatures that have been Claptrap-ified - including crab-traps, rakk-traps and skag-trapps. Fans can earn an additional 10 skill points for a total of 71 available skill tree points, and three more backpack slots for additional blood-yielding weapons and many hours of enjoyment.

RDR: Legends and Killers Pack

|Update:DLC| Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption’s Legends and Killers Pack is now available for digital download from the Xbox LIVE online entertainment network* and PlayStation Network.
The Legends and Killers Pack doubles the amount of competitive multiplayer territories with nine new map locations that are weapon-balanced specifically for multiplayer and packed with free-for-all and team-based challenges. New locations vary from the fog-filled riverside at Thieves’ Landing to the modern metropolis of Blackwater. Eight classic personalities from 2004’s Red Dead Revolver return as multiplayer characters, including fan favorites Red Harlow, Jack Swift, Annie Stoakes and Shadow Wolf, among others. Available in competitive multiplayer, free roam and single-player modes, the Tomahawk, a deadly new projectile weapon, introduces more ways to eliminate the competition. In addition to gameplay challenges, the pack also presents additional opportunities to earn Achievements and Trophies.
Red Dead Redemption’s Legend and Killers Pack is currently available digitally for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE and $9.99 on PlayStation Network and requires a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play.
